Will I need plastic surgery for the surplus skin?

Filed under: Weight Loss Surgery FAQ; Author: admin; Posted: September 23, 2006 at 7:50 am;

When you have lost a lot of weight, you will probably want to have a plastic surgery for your surplus skin. Some patients do choose to have plastic surgery after weight loss surgery. If a patient has been overweight for a long time, the skin is stretched and will usually not “mold” itself into place. Plastic surgery is not a consideration until at least one year following surgery.
